More from Pont du Gard Aquaduct, one of our favorite sites.  A UNESCO heritage site it is built of soft yellow limestone about 50AD.  It is breathtaking & overwhelming to imagine how this could have been built.  I loved seeing the local gathering of swimmers, kayakers, & picnics taking place.  We were moving on or would have stayed to see the evening illumination.
