Speyer, Germany
Speyer, Germany The Romanesque Cathedral with its four towers, two domes was founded in 1030. Sitting at one end of a wide main street with a large tower at the other end it is a stunning view. Wiped out during the Holocaust in 1940 Speyer was home to a Jewish community dating back to the middle ages. In 1989 they began to settle there again after the fall of the iron curtain. @uniworld
