We traveled by bus to Beaune, France from Macon to tour L’Hotel-Dieu de Beaune.  Established in 1443 by Nicolas Rolin, Chancellor to the Duke of Burgundy and his wife Guigone de Salins.  The hospital was built with the finest construction and equipped with the best of everything.  As someone with a medical background it is overwhelming to see the medical supplies or treatments that were used compared to todays.
